International recognition for Bosman Family Vineyards

AT a recent glittering ceremony in London, Bosman Family Vineyards was recognised for their ethical business practices at The Drinks Business Green Awards when they were announced as the runner up for The Ethical Company of the Year Award.

The Drinks Business Green Awards is the world’s largest programme to raise awareness of green issues in the drinks trade and recognise and reward those who are leading the way in sustainability and environmental performance.

With a long history and proud heritage, Bosman Family Vineyards are deeply committed to fusing the old with the new, as they combine long-established tradition with cutting-edge innovation. The Bosman family is committed to more than just wine. Instilled with a deep respect for both man and nature, they have long believed in and implemented social, economic and environmental practices that develop the community and promote sustainable farming.

The relationship between the family and their team is evident in the fact that many of the 260 full-time workers on the estate are 5th generation families that have as deep a passion for winemaking as the Bosmans themselves. With an ownership of a full 26% of the entire business, a solid skills transfer system and numerous social projects, the workers are invested in every aspect of Bosman Family Vineyards. This multi ownership model hails as one of the most progressive in the industry.

The Ethical Award is awarded to “a company or product whose foundations are firmly based in, and dedicated to, the community and/or environment where they are based” and Bosman Family Vineyards is honoured and proud to be acknowledged in this category.
