Zombies Come To Jozi Book Fair 2014
New dystopian novel Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse to be at Jozi Book Fair
Our continued fascination with the walking dead comes to the Jozi Book Fair from 26-27 September 2014. Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse author Lee Herrmann will be in attendance as a well as giving a talk on zombies in literature.
The Jozi Book Fair 2014 brings together authors, artists, librarians, and literary activists to host a number of activities including conversations with authors, book launches, workshops, seminars, a mini film festival and round table discussions. The author will be available at the Porcupine Press stand and giving a brief talk on Saturday, 27 September at 14:00.
‘Zombies are a fascinating subject matter. Quite often they are a reflection of ourselves and our fears. Plus, they’re pretty cool,’ says Hermann of his second novel. Books will be on sale and can be signed by the author.
Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse is a coming of age story in a very different South Africa, and chronicles one family’s fight for survival against the undead. From the perspective of sixteen year old Kon, they embark on a journey to get to Robben Island, a reputed safe haven.
Oh, and there’s lots and lots of zombies.
Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse is available from Amazon, Kalahari, Porcupine Press and Loot as an e-book and hard copy. Hard copies will be available in selected bookstores from October 2014.
